Tea Party and Health Care

Time is running out to pass the health care reform, before Tea party's and town hall meetings are planned for spring recess. Democrats don't want to get into that mess again, that almost shot-down health last Aug. Last summer, Democrats were encouraged to hold the town hall meetings, to explain all the good stuff about health care and they were blindsided by the backlash, the tea party movement that disagreed with This over spending, free money give-away big spending congress. This time they know what is coming around, they don't want to have town hall meetings they're going to lay low, Stephanie Lundberg, spokeswoman for Senator Steny Hoyer said "There's not been the same push as there was in August to encourage members to do town halls,"

Steny Hoyer said Democrats would like to finish work on the health care bill before the spring break, though that's not a firm deadline, that just means the second wave of health care reform protests could sputter.

Debbie Dooley, a Tea Party Patriots organizer and Freedom Works volunteer outside Atlanta. said we're about to ratchet it up You're about to see the passion that we saw during the August recess. Starting as early next week to put the big push on to get ahead of the two week congressional spring break that start March 29. Tom Gaitens, Tampa Tea Party organizer said we're gonna hit 'em when we know they're back in their district, and we're gonna hit 'em hard, If they refuse to attend the town hall meetings, we're going to have an empty chair with their name on it, If they choose not to face their constituents, that's their decision. I'm sure their constituents will remember that.

President Obama, is pushing lawmakers to vote on health care reform before spring recess, and he said I believe the United States Congress owes the American people a final vote on health care reform, I therefore ask leaders in both houses of Congress to finish their work and schedule the vote in the next few weeks. From now until then, I will do everything in my power to make the case for reform
