Earnhardt's run for the Chase

Dale Earnhardt jr. Good chance he will not make the Chase, with little more than two weeks left in the regular season he has to consider the thoughts of another disappointing season for one of NASCAR popular drivers.

Sept.11 Richmond International Speedway will be the race Earnhardt will know if he makes the Chase. Earnhardt is currently 18th in the standings and 170 points behind Clint Bowyer who is 12th in the standings, the last position for the Chase. (10 race playoff)

                                                    THE CHASE

The last ten races of the season all qualifying drivers have their points manually set. The Chasers will have their points set to 5,000 plus ten points for every race that they won during the first 26 races of the season. For example, If you finish the first 26 races in the top twelve in points and have won three races so far that season then you would start The Chase with 5,030 points.

NASCAR points are still given the same as regular season, and the last 10 races, to determine the champion, the point battle comes down to the last race, last lap.

NAACP-A watched teapot never boils

The NAACP, and left leaning media, like Media Matters for America, Think Progress, and New Left Media, is sponsoring a new website looking for bloggers and videographers that will look for "racism" and "extremism" in the Tea Partiers.

Teapartytracker.org will do tweets, interviews with people at rallies, looking for racism and t-shirts with radical pictures and slogans. They will monitor racism within the Tea Party movement. We call on the Tea Party to repudiate extremists in their ranks and join in civil dialogue with all Americans. The left leaning UNIONS don't have any racism in their demonstrations, they set a good example for the tea party people.

The NAACP accused the Tea Party of instances of racism, including spitting on a black congressman, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo., on Capitol Hill.

Actress Lindsay Lohan said, she is ready to give up clubs for her career.

A interview with Vanity Fair magazine, a week before she went to jail, Lohan said she is looking to move on with her life and get back to work in Hollywood. I don’t care what anyone says. I know that I’m a damn good actress. And I know that in my past I was young and irresponsible but that’s what growing up is. You learn from your mistakes.

She called out her father Michael Lohan for most of the “trauma” in her life, saying she is not the addict that the world makes her out to be, If I were the alcoholic everyone says I am, then putting a scram bracelet on would have ended me up in detox, in the emergency room, because I would have had to come down from all the things that people say I’m taking and my father says I’m taking so that says something, because I was fine.

Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, a congresswoman from Texas, said, she will return scholarship money she distributed to her relatives and those of a top aide from a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation program in violation of the group's rules.

In a statement Johnson said, I was unaware of being in any type of violation and never intentionally violated the CBCF’s rules. Further, to rectify this matter immediately, I will reimburse the funds by the end of this week,

Johnson, a Democratic member of Congress and former Congressional Black Caucus chairwoman, told The Dallas Morning News that she "unknowingly" violated nepotism rules when she gave two grandsons, two great-nephews and her district director's two children scholarship money.

Johnson awarded 11 scholarships per year from 2005 to 2008, in each year, most scholarships went to her relatives or to the district director, Rod Givens.

Johnson told Dallas Morning news, "I recognized the names when I saw them. And I knew that they had a need just like any other kid that would apply for one, adding that had there been "very worthy applicants in my district, then I probably wouldn't have given it" to my relatives. Johnson pledged to establish a "non-biased third party objective review committee" to handle awarding future scholarships.

Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said, a large percentage'' of his roster is set but there are a couple guys I really need to play, in the final preseason game Thursday at Dallas. It's important for some players, make no mistake about that.

The Dolphins have to make one more move to get to the NFL deadline to trim to 75 players. But a lot of moves to get to the 53 players by Saturday.

Sparano said, one difficult decision, is deciding whether to keep injured players on the 53-man roster during the regular season. that means they must either be on the 53-man roster or placed on injured reserve, which means missing the season.

Glenn Beck-- restoring honor

Glenn Beck hosted the weekend rally in Washington D.C. "restoring Honor" with many other speakers. Beck is 46 years, and is Mormon, he said, most Christians don't believe in liberation theology, that is a direct opposite of what the gospel is talking about. It's Marxism disguised as religion.

Beck spoke after hosting his "Restoring Honor" rally, that attracted hundreds of thousands of Americans. Beck said the event, meant to honor the U.S. military, not political, the message I was trying to send was be your highest self and stand in the burning bush, stand in the fire, because that's the only thing that's going to save us, I've come to the place where I believe there's no way to solve these problems, these issues, unless we solve it through God, unless we solve it through being our highest self, and that's a pretty tall order.

Beck said the message of the event was that Americans should reclaim the nation from politics. I never intended the event, scheduled on the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, that was held at the Lincoln Memorial, not to be about civil rights.

People of faith, believe that you have an equal right to justice, that is the essence, and if it is not the essence, than we've been sold a pack of lies." Founding Fathers warned that if people turned from God, the country would be at risk. Let's take them as people who knew what they were talking about. Let's try the whole turning back to God thing and see what happens.

Minnesota Vikings aquire receiver Greg Camarillo

Minnesota Vikings made a trade, sending cornerback Benny Sapp to the Miami Dolphins in return for receiver Greg Camarillo. The Minnesota Vikings are hoping Camarillo can step in to take the place of Sidney Rice, he is out with a hip injury, and Percy Harvin, he is having Migraines.

Camarillo said, It's hard, It's incredibly difficult because South Florida was home. I've moved. I've left that behind. I'm just excited to be out here playing football.

In 2006 Camarillo came from Stanford, going to San Diego, then going to Miami Dolphins, tearing an ACL in 2008, Camarillo has rebounded to catch 105 passes for 1,165 yards and two touchdowns.

Coach Brad Childress said, I've said it about a thousand times, a receiver by definition should receive, he's got A-plus hands. If you put a ball around him, he's got great 'pluck' characteristics.

In Minnesota, Camarillo will be on the receiving end of throws from Brett Favre.

Camarillo said, I've been a fan of his since I was a little kid, who was 9 years old when Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. "One of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. What more as a receiver could you ask for than to come play with that type of quarterback? You have to elevate your game to match his game and he'll bring you along with him. It's a great opportunity."

New Jersey should of voted for a Democrat Governor

Governor Chris Christie, New Jersey, blasted Washington bureaucrats in Washington, New Jersey lost $400 million education grant, because Christie administration made a mistake on one page of a 1000 page application.

Top grants were awarded to nine states and the District of Columbia, New Jersey was the top runner-up, having missed out on an award by just a few points on the 500-point scale used to judge the applications. New Jersey lost five points on one section in which officials were asked to show that the state gives a consistent percentage of its revenue to education. New Jersey used the wrong years on the application.

Sheila Oliver the State Assembly Speaker called it "a stunning mistake that is going to hurt New Jersey's children."and Gov. Christie said the "clerical error" could have easily been fixed if someone in Washington had picked up the phone, that's the stuff that drives people nuts about government and that's the stuff the Obama administration should answer for. Are you guys just down there checking boxes like mindless drones, or are you thinking?" When the president comes back to New Jersey, he's going to have to explain to the people of the state of New Jersey why he's depriving them of $400 million that this application earned because one of his bureaucrats in Washington couldn't pick up the phone and ask a question, couldn't go on the Internet and find information, or wouldn't accept the verbal representation" of the state's education commissioner during a follow-up interview,

Few words from Elin Nordegren

Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods, ex-wife said, she has "been through hell" since her husband's infidelity surfaced but she never hit him, she said We tried for months to reconcile the relationship. In the end, a marriage "without trust and love" wasn't good for anyone,

On Thanksgiving night outside their Florida home, Woods drove his SUV over a fire hydrant and into a tree, on early morning Thanksgiving day, bringing to light that the best golfer was cheating on his wife with many different women.

Nordegren said, she never hit Woods on the night of the car crash, there was never any violence inside or outside our home, the speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous.

Nordegren said Woods left the house that night and when he didn't return after a while, she got worried and went to look for him. She said that's when she found him in the car, I did everything I could to get him out of the locked car, to think anything else is absolutely wrong. I've been through hell, It's hard to think you have this life, and then all of a sudden, was it a lie? You're struggling because it wasn't real. But I survived. It was hard, but it didn't kill me.

Nordegren wants people to know three things: she's not violent and never hit Woods; she had no idea this was going on; and it was a real marriage for her. PEOPLE MAG.

factcheck.org blame it on Republicans

Just a little information from factcheck.org

The MoveOn.org Political Action ad blames a banking deregulation bill sponsored by former Sen. Phil Gramm, a friend and one-time adviser to McCain's campaign. It claims the bill "stripped safeguards that would have protected us."

That claim is bunk. When we contacted MoveOn.org spokesman Trevor Fitzgibbons to ask just what "safeguards" the ad was talking about, he came up with not one single example. The only support offered for the ad's claim is one line in one newspaper article that reported the bill "is now being blamed" for the crisis, without saying who is doing the blaming or on what grounds.

The bill in question is the Gramm, Leach,Bliley Act, which was passed in 1999 and repealed portions of the Glass-Steagall Act, a piece of legislation from the era of the Great Depression that imposed a number of regulations on financial institutions. It's true that Gramm authored the act, but what became law was a widely accepted bipartisan compromise. The measure passed the House 362-57, with 155 Democrats voting for the bill. The Senate passed the bill by a vote of 90-8 Among the Democrats voting for the bill: Obama's running mate, Joe Biden. The bill was signed into law by President Clinton, a Democrat. If this bill really had "stripped the safeguards that would have protected us," then both parties share the blame, not just "John McCain's friend."

Biden said the stimulus is working

Vice President Biden said that despite the high anticipation surrounding the announcement of the GOP’s economic agenda, the plan that Boehner laid out this morning does not declare specific policies that Republicans favor, but rather spells out the party’s opposition to economic policies Democrats have enacted and is merely a list of economic items Republicans believe President Obama should not do.

Biden said that Republican control of Washington during the Bush administration led to greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression, and predicted a Republican-controlled Congress would only reinstitute the same policies that led to the financial crisis. Biden also said the stimulus is working, this is the summer of recovery. the only thing working is the groundhog in my garden.

Bush had 58 months of solid gains, Democrats took over the House and Senate that is when everything went to hell in a hand basket. go back, read the facts, if enough people said miss America was ulgy, people would start to believe it. Don't believe me ask Barney Frank and Chris Dobb.

Washington Redskins will play the New York Jets, Friday night without Donovan McNabb. McNabb has been unable to practice since getting a sprained ankle, in last Saturday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Coach Mike Shanahan said, It's quite sore, and I don't think he could go if it was a regular season game. He's got to rehab it.

After the game, McNabb was limping in the locker room, and was wearing a walking boot. Tuesday, he watched practice with his lower leg and ankle wrapped.

Shanahan said he didn't think McNabb had a "bad ankle sprain" and that the quarterback has been walking on the treadmill to rehab the injury. Let's not count anybody out, let's take it day by day. I saw him run some routes out there today. He looked a lot better, almost full speed straight ahead. Hopefully he'll be able to go next week.

Both woods and Nordegren, said in a joint statement, we are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future, while we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.

Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.”

Eli Manning sits out game against the Steelers

New York, Giants coach Tom Coughlin, announced that Eli Manning will sit out the next Saturday night preseason game, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Manning did not pratice at training camp, because of the 12 stitches in his forehead from Monday night game.

Backup quarterback Jim Sorgi, didn't practice because of shoulder injuries and his sore ribs. Rhett Bomar took all of the snaps at practice.

Coughlin said, I am not going to rush things, If the doctors say it's OK for him to throw, then maybe he'll do some throwing. But, he definitely is not going to put the helmet on.

Team surgeon Russell Warren will check out Manning after practice, the results would not affect the decision for Manning to play this week. Coughlin did not know when Manning would be back, and Sorgi is a wait and see proposition, because of his sore shoulder he got from Monday night game against the New York Jets.

Manning said, I physically feel fine. I threw some balls today. I ran around, I know what is going on. I'm all there. It's just a matter of getting the helmet on. He also said he was lucky that his injury was not more serious. being hit by Jets safety Jim Leonhard with his helmet off could have easily broken his nose or another bone.

Bret Favre, one more season

Brett Favre, returning to Minnesota for another season for the Vikings. Arriving by private jet, with three teammates. Ryan Longwell, place kicker, Steve Hutchinson guard and Jared Allen defensive end. all three were sent to Hattiesburg, Miss. just to bring Favre back for one more chance at the Hattiesburg, Miss..

In a text message Longwell, said that, Favre told the three he would play for the Vikings this season, we simply went down there to get an answer and after talking for a while, his answer was 'yes, he loves the guys in the locker room and is doing it for all of us. Longwell added, "He didn't know we were coming," we just asked if he had one more year. Not about wins or losses, but just for the guys in the locker room to have a blast for a year."

A message posted on Favre's website said, "stay tuned for breaking news from the Minnesota Vikings today on Brett Favre's possible return."

Presumably, Favre did not make the trip just to tell the Vikings he was retiring, but the team still had not given an official confirmation that the star quarterback will play this year. He is, however, under contract -- the second season in a two-year, $25 million deal.

Back-up quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, said he wasn't bothered by hearing that some of his higher-profile teammates flew to Mississippi to try to woo Favre. I feel like if my number's called I'm going to be ready, and I'm going to continue to try to work hard and get better. That's all I can do."

Rep. Maxine Waters, blame it on Bush

Rep. Maxine Waters, of California, blames the Bush administration for her ethics problems, she said she had to intervene with the Treasury Department on behalf of minority owned banks seeking federal bailout funds including one tied to her husband because the Treasury Department wouldn't schedule its own appointments.

Waters said, the question at this point should not be why I called Secretary Paulson, but why I had to, the question at this point should be why a trade association representing over 100 minority banks could not get a meeting at the height of the crisis.

House ethics committee, is investigating Waters for improperly using her position for personal gain, says in its report of charges that when the meeting was held, the officers of only one bank came One United.

Sidney Williams, Waters husband served as a member of One United board of directors, and was a stockholder in the bank, that makes it a very big problem for Waters. One United got $12 million of the $50 million in bailout money it requested, just enough to keep Waters stock from becoming worthless. The committee says that shows she personally benefited by using her position for personal gain

Waters said, she wasn't concerned about her husband's stocks in the bank, about $350,000 in stocks, and still owns. Nobody in Washington will take the blame for their own short comings.

Marco Rubio, son of a Cuban exile that happens to be running for U.S. Senate in Florida, on the Republican ticket, was quick to criticize Reid's comments.

Rubio called Reid’s remarks "outrageous" and "ridiculous" this kind of outrageous speech in politics is continuing to spread, you know, Americans of Hispanic descent, you know what the strongest issue there is? That is economic empowerment, upward mobility, there’s only one economic system in the world that’s possible in, time and again, and that’s the American free enterprise system. and the reason why Americans of Hispanic descent should be Republicans is because the Democratic leadership is trying to dismantle the American free enterprise system, the point is he’s wrong.

In a statement, the National Republican Senatorial Committee said, It's no secret that Harry Reid is a desperate politician who is under fire for his reckless spending and failed economic record, but these outrageous statements represent race baiting at its very worst.

Reid's campaign, defending his remarks, said in a statement Sen. Reid has long enjoyed the support of many Hispanic Republicans in Nevada and he appreciates that support.

I would not criticize Fremantle Media that produces the show for the network, because I have a sizable royalty that I am paid every year this show is on, and it’s going on for years. I would be an absolute fool. I hope this show stays on for years,

Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel of New York confirmed that his lawyers are discussing a deal to settle with lawyers for the House ethics committee that would avoid a public hearing on House ethics allegations against him.

Rangel, declined to talk about any details of the negotiations, saying he was not participating in the talks himself.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said it was up to Rangel to decide whether to resign over the pending ethics allegations. Mr. Rangel has to do what Mr. Rangel believes is appropriate and proper, taking a neutral stance instead of offering support for the 20 term veteran of the House Democratic caucus that Hoyer leads.

Rangel gave up his chairmanship of the House Ways and Means Committee earlier this year because of the allegations he violated House rules by failing to disclose personal income and other acts.

Charlie Crist, the Florida Governor is now a Independent Governor, after switching from Republican to Independent, because he has a better chance to win his bid for Florida Senator. Just another case that these politicians, running for office will do anything to get elected (MORE POWER AND MONEY)

Lets put Crist in the same room with Arlin Specter of Pennsylvania, two peas in a pod, how many more politicians, will make moves like this just so they get their power and money. We need to put terms limits on them, so they don't get big and powerful. This proves my point, politicians will do anything to get elected, for their own interest, and not the interest of the peoples

It was reported that most of his political staff will leave, and some of his supporters want their donation back. I would like to find someone that will work for the people instead of working for their own interest.

Charles Rangel in the middle of corruption

Another case of corruption in our elected officials, Charles Rangel of New York the main man that makes the laws for the way we the little people pay our taxes, he don't know how to pay his own taxes, it was his wife fault not mine, The free trips to the Caribbean, that was not my fault my staff did it not me. Just another way to take advantage of the system, blame it on somebody else, If it was one of us (the little people) we would be in jail by now. (protection by Nancy Pelosi) come on Nancy drain the swamp and clean out the sewer.

New York, Rep. Charles Rangel, Democrat will face charges for ethics violations, and faces a public trail in the House that can end with his expulsion. Rangel stepped down from his chairmanship of the House Ways and Means Committee, after being admonished by the committee for taking corporate paid junket to the Caribbean.

The House Ethics Committee didn't say which accusations would be leveled against Rangel. Source said the charges are related to his use of official stationery to raise money for a City Collage center named after him, and his use of four rental apartments, that he failed to report the income.

Melanie Sloan, Citizens for Responsible Ethics in Washington said, It's very bad news for Mr. Rangel, and she called for him to step down. Just another case of TO BIG TO PROSECUTE. it took over two years. Term limits for everyone in Washington so they don't get to much power, and think they are to big and powerful to fall. Mr Rangel should of retired from his powerful position 36 tears ago.

Senator John Kerry A big Hypocritical

Many Americans, are worried about the people that we elected to go to Washington and make laws and try to protect us from aliens coming into the country, and make more laws, raise our taxes so they can give us some more free cheese, "that I don't like", but they say eat it and shut-up, we are going to raise your taxes a little bit more so we can give all the people of this great country some more cheese, "I don't like your cheese", shut-up and eat your free cheese, "again and again", I don't want your cheese.

All of the people that we elected, for these job that they love, because they don't have to eat the free cheese, they live the fat cat lives, and complain about the fat cat Wall street and the big dog Bankers.

Lets take a look at of these big fat cat politicians, like John Kerry from Ma. Mr. Kerry buys a 7 million dollar yacht from a New Zealand company, docks the 76 foot yacht in Newport RI. Saving himself 500,000 in excise and sales tax.

Boat builders in New England, say shame on Sen. John Kerry for buying a $7 million New Zealand-built luxury yacht while local ship makers struggle to find work.

Jane Wellehan, president of the trade group Maine Built Boats said, “Darn, that would have been a wonderful job for a Maine builder, If someone comes to build a $7 million boat that would employ half the population of some towns for a year or two. Boat building is such a critical component of our coastal economy.”

Gregory Egan, who owns the Crosby Yacht Yard in Osterville, said Bay State boat builders must feel cut adrift by Kerry as well I’m confident that anything constructed in New Zealand could be constructed here in the state, From a political perspective, it seems to me he could have thought twice about that one

But she won’t get any sympathy here, this is jail, she is adjusting to prison and is cool, calm and sleeping a lot, She's keeping to herself, better than yesterday and handling it pretty good,

A jail source said, she would serve just 14 days due to prison overcrowding, another source said she may serve only 10% of her sentence 9 days.

Happy Harry Reid, giving up on bill

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, is giving up on plans to pass a U.S. energy bill that caps emissions of carbon dioxide, saying Republicans refuse to support the measure. Happy Harry said it was terribly disappointing. Harry you don't need any Republicans, you have plenty of Democrats to pass your stupid bills, there is still some sane Democrats left in the Senate.

Reid has been trying to pass a carbon emissions tax for Obama for more than a year. A compromise plan to limit emissions only from utilities also failed to attract the 60 votes. Reid and other Democrats said they would focus on a narrower bill that responds to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and improves Energy Efficiency

Charles Rangel charged

Charles Rangel, New York Rep. was charged with many ethics violations, Rangel was the former house Ways and Means chairman. The House investigative committee didn't specify the charges against Rangel. A four-member panel of the House ethics committee sends the case to a House trial, where a separate eight-member panel of Republicans and Democrats will decide whether the violations can be proved.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi had once promised to "drain the swamp" of ethical misdeeds by lawmakers in arguing that Democrats should be in charge. Where is Pelosi now, they All must be in office to long, get to powerful.

In a statement, Rangel said, I was notified today, two years after I requested an investigation, that the Ethics Committee will refer the allegations reviewed by an investigations subcommittee to a subcommittee that will review the facts. I am pleased that, at long last, sunshine will pierce the cloud of serious allegations that have been raised against me in the media.

Brendan Daly, Pelosi spokesman said, the action today would indicate that the independent, bipartisan ethics committee process is moving forward. "After two years and now we will maybe try to drain the swamp"

A good day at the lake.

Sometimes you have to get away from the Sports and Politics and have yourself a nice day at the lake house. The day begins with the work of getting the apple wood soaking, getting the spit together, building a hot fire, putting the pig on the spit, and over the fire about noon. The beer is open for a little cheer and conversation. About 5 o clock the pig is done and ready to come off the spit and feast, with more beer.

Pig Roast

Sitting back with a belly full of pig and beer more conversation and the sun going down, you have to kick the dogs off the golf cart so you don't have to walk to the lake.

Taz

Just before 9 o clock the sun start to settle in for the day and you get another treat for the day. Take a ride down to the lake and sitting on the boat to watch the sunset.

After a slow ride back home, still full of beer and pig you have to settle in for the day, and its lights out.

Heavy Sleep

A fantastic day full of a lot of good times and memories.

Latino Americans for Arizonas new law

Founder of Freedom Watch Inc. Larry Klayman said he will be joined by ALRA ( Arizona Latino Republican Association) Chairman Jesse Hernandez and members of the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association

Klayman said, ALRA will become the first group of Latino Americans to "put a foot forward legally" in support of S.B. 1070 by filing a motion to intervene against the Justice Department's lawsuit challenging Arizona's immigration policy, This is a way to tell the country that, 'Hey, we're Americans too and we believe in the rule of law, Klayman also said, it's a way to say, we got here legally and we contributed a great deal. We want the rest of the country to recognize that we're with you,

Klayman said ALRA will be "in effect, a defendant" in the DOJ lawsuit, which names the state of Arizona as well as Gov. Jan Brewer as defendants. The Justice Department claims the federal government has "preeminent authority" on immigration enforcement and that the Arizona law "disrupts" that balance. Klayman went on to say, we're still working on it, and I expects the motion to be filed ahead of a court hearing scheduled for Thursday on the DOJ lawsuit.

Dan Gilbert owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, got one BIG fine from NBA commissioner David Stern (100,000). for all the nasty words said about LeBron James leaving, and going to Miami Heat. He promised it's his last one, he could be fined another 100,000 if he says anything else.

After James' announced he was going to Miami, Gilbert fired of a letter to Cavs fans, vilifying the 25-year-old and calling his decision as "narcissistic" and "cowardly behavior." He also guaranteed his team would win an NBA title, before the self titled king wins one. Jackson responded to Gilbert's remarks on Sunday by saying the Cavs owner sees James as a "runaway slave" and that Gilbert's comments put the player in danger.

Gilbert said he strongly disagrees with Rev. Jesse Jackson's criticism of his comments about James, leaving to join fellow All-Stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

Jackson said, from his Chicago based civil right office, he speaks as an owner of LeBron and not the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, his feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave. This is an owner employee relationship between business partners and LeBron honored his contract.

Comedian in the Senate

Comedian Al Franken, was elected to the U.S. senate in a tight battle, that went six month with recount after recount. After 18 month, conservative watchdog group, found over 340 convicted felons voted illegally. That put Franken over incumbent Senator Norm Colman. The last recount six month after election, gave Frankin 312 votes more than Colman.

Furthermore, the report charges that efforts to get state and Federal authorities to act on its findings have been "stonewalled."

Minnesota Majority's executive director Dan McGrath said, we aren't trying to change the result of the last election. That legally can't be done, we are just trying to make sure the integrity of the next election isn't compromised. He said his group was largely ignored when it turned over a list of hundreds of names to prosecutors in two of the state's largest counties, Ramsey and Hennepin, where fraud seemed to be the greatest.

McGrath also said, what we did this time is irrefutable, we took the voting lists and matched them with conviction lists and then went back to the records and found the roster lists, where voters sign in before walking to the voting booth, and matched them by hand, the only way we can be wrong is if someone with the same first, middle and last names, same year of birth as the felon, and living in the same community, has voted. And that isn't very likely.

A Fox News reports, O.J. Simpson is currently sitting in a Nevada prison for robbing a sports memorabilia dealer at gunpoint with his entourage in Las Vegas in 2007. But "The Juice" certainly won't be spending any money in jail.

Simpson has been in serious debt since a California civil jury found him liable for the death of Ronald Goldman and battery of Nicole Brown Simpson and ordered him to pay $33.5 million in damages. The Goldmans are still waiting for a chunk of that money.

In August 2007, a Florida bankruptcy court awarded Simpson's book rights from "If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer" to the Goldman family to help pay for for the 1997 civil judgment.

Michael Vicks celebrity golf tournament in Georgia, went on without Vick. Vick also missed a scheduled appearance at a youth football camp in Raleigh N.C. Vicks probation officials restricted travel for the Eagles quarterback.

Judy Smith a spokeswoman for Vick said Vick's travel has been at the discretion of his probation officer since he was released from prison in the dogfighting case in 2009, a prosecutor saying Vick wasn't involved in a shooting at his 30th birthday party in Virginia Beach, Va. but he was in a confrontation before the incident.

Cornelius Corprew, director of Camp Elite Spor ts, said, They called early, like 2 o'clock in the morning, telling us he's not coming
We're not crazy. No state agency is communicating at 2 o'clock in the morning that he's not allowed to come. I think that was a selfish act.

Corprew, said that he was told Saturday by Vick representatives that the NFL star would be there Sunday. He said Vick was paid a $2,000 deposit of a $4,000 fee.
Obama's Transparent policy

Congress is away for the 4 of July vacation. President Obama will bypass Congress and appoint Dr. Donald Berwick to head Medicare and Medicaid, filling the job while Congress is in recess to get around Republican opposition, and bring up discussions on Obama health-care that the White House refuses to discuss after the train wreck was passed without anyone reading the bill.

Berwick's supporters say he is the right man in the right place at the right time. But his opponents have lined up against him. They say that while he may be a the highly respected doctor, he is also an outspoken proponent of the British health care system,

Senator John Barrasso, (R-Wy) said, this recess appointment is an insult to the American people, Dr. Berwick is a self-professed supporter of rationing health care, and he won't even have to explain his views to the American people in a Congressional hearing.

Justice Department files suit against Arizona

The Justice Department filed a lawsuit against the state of Arizona, challenging their new immigration law, that will take affect at the end of the month. the government claiming the law interferes with federal immigration responsibilities.

The Justice Department suit names both the state and the Governor Jan Brewer as defendants, Claiming the Federal Government has preeminent authority on immigration enforcement and the Arizona law "disrupts" that balance.

Attorney General Eric Holder said in a statement, Arizonans are frustrated with illegal immigration, and the federal government has a responsibility to comprehensively address those concerns, but diverting federal resources away from dangerous aliens such as terrorism suspects and aliens with criminal records will impact the entire country's safety. Holder also warned of "a patchwork of state laws" that "will only create more problems than it solves.

Governor Brewer accused Obamas administration of a massive waste of taxpayer funds, and said in a statement, It is wrong that our own federal government is suing the people of Arizona for helping to enforce federal immigration law. As a direct result of failed and inconsistent federal enforcement, Arizona is under attack from violent Mexican drug and immigrant smuggling cartels, now, Arizona is under attack in federal court from President Obama and his Department of Justice, the irony of suing Arizona for its immigration enforcement law but ignoring cities and other local governments whose patchwork local sanctuary policies instruct the police not to cooperate with federal immigration officials

Arizona's new law

President Obama said in his speech calling on congress to get a comprehensive overhaul of the nation's immigration system. He criticized Arizona's law and warned that national legislation is needed to prevent other states from following suit.

In an interview, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on foreign television network that the administration intends to challenge the Arizona law. The Justice Department would do so on the grounds that federal responsibility for border enforcement preempts any state law on the issue.

The Arizona law, makes illegal immigration a state crime and local law enforcement can question anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant only after they are stopped for another crime.

Obama and other top officials have criticized the law as misguided, even though none of the top officials read the bill, that was mirrored after the federal bill. Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer slammed the administration for pursuing a lawsuit She claims the administration has not done enough to secure the border

Gov. Brewer said, we'll meet them in court, and we will win, calling the administration's actions a disappointment

Presidents poll

Researchers at Siena College in New York polled 238 presidential scholars, (99% Democrats and Progressive) asking them to rate all 43 U.S. presidents in 19 categories from imagination and integrity to their accomplishments in domestic and foreign policy.

Douglas Lonnstrom study director says Mr. Obama’s predecessors all started out in the middle range, around number 20.

Siena College has conducted the survey since 1982. It’s always done one year after a new president takes office.

President Obama received high marks for imagination, intelligence and communication, but he scored poorly on family background.
President Obama ranks 15th on a new survey of the best American presidents, slightly higher than any other recent president

Lonnstrom says many other presidents came from extremely elite families, while Mr. Obama was raised by a single mother and his middle class grandparents. That must be worth a bunch of points. Can't wait for the next survey, this rate President Obama will be # 1.

Former President George W. Bush entered the survey as number 23 back in 2002. But one year after leaving office, he’s in the bottom five at number 39.

Franklin D. Roosevelt has been number one every time. This year he’s followed by his distant cousin Teddy Roosevelt, then Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

It’s the first time Teddy Roosevelt has ranked second, overtaking Lincoln who held that spot for 20 years. How can a survey change from Presidents that are dead, they can't change anything after their dead. Mr Lonnstrom, must be leaning to one side.

Since the last survey in 2002, Bill Clinton moved up from number 18 to 13th. Ronald Reagan dropped two places from 16th to 18th, and Jimmy Carter fell from 25th to 32nd.

The bottom five presidents have consistently included Andrew Johnson, James Buchanan, Warren Harding and Franklin Pierce. Johnson was ranked at the very bottom this year.

Republican Sen. Scott Brown owes his election to the public furor over all of the back door deals, "Cornhusker kickback," for Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska got for his vote on Obama Health care, the Louisiana purchase and the many other backroom deals. Brown campaigned on being against those deals, it took less than a year for Brown to weaken, and start his backroom deals. Brown is following Nelson's example, winning concessions in the financial overhaul bill on behalf of Massachusetts banks.

The “Massachusetts miracle”, Brown is wheeling and dealing with both parties and hinting that he just might vote with Democrats if they agree to goodies for financial institutions in his state.

Brown got an exemption for home state interests like Fidelity Investments and the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. from the new restrictions on trading. Democratic negotiators agreed to remove a $19 billion tax on large banks and hedge funds after Brown threatened to vote “no” because of it.

Brown said in a statement, over the July recess, I will continue to review this important bill.

Gov. Jan Brewer reelection campaign SIGNS

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is slamming the Obama administration over protecting the borders from illegal smugglers and just plain illegal. The governments way of helping Arizona, is by posting signs in the Arizona desert warning visitors to beware of illegal smugglers, about 80 square miles of America, that cannot be used by Americans. The signs are hardly the kind of border security plan Gov. Brewer wants for Arizona.

In an reelection campaign ad, Gov. Brewer said, this is an outrage, the ad shows gov. Brewer standing next to one of the government warning signs in the middle of the Arizona desert, Brewer met with President Obama, who "promised that we would get word" on the administration's border security plan.

Brewer said in her ad, well, we finally got the message, these signs. These signs, calling our desert an active drug and human smuggling area. These signs warning people of danger and telling them to stay away. Washington says our border is as safe as it has ever been. Does this look safe to you?

The ad also had a message to Obama, Washington is broken, Mr. President. Do your job. Secure our borders. Arizona and the nation are waiting.

John Elway, retired and looking for some interest in a NFL team to invest in, preferring the Denver Broncos. But he would settle for any other team.

Elway said, that's always a possibility, but it really depends on what Pat's going to do, would I like to be a part owner? Yes. I'd like for it to happen here. If not, and there is an opportunity somewhere else, I'd definitely look at that, too.

Broncos Coach, Josh McDaniels, said, I've really enjoyed being around John. He means so much to the Broncos, Denver and the NFL. We've had fun, and I look forward to John having a relationship with the Broncos, Pat Bowlen and me well into the future. He is the greatest Bronco of all time and someone all our players should know and respect. We can benefit from John's knowledge, presence and experience.

Elway said, I've gotten to know Josh, and I'd like to get to know him even better and assist him and the Broncos whatever way I can. Josh knows what he wants and how to get there.

The rookie quarterback, has been spending time with Elway,

Elway said, he texted me when he got to Denver, I watched him practice. I've talked to him. I like him a whole lot. People say he doesn't have the perfect release, but I didn't have a perfect release. You can fix that. Those complete passes in college are incompletions and interceptions in the NFL. You don't get better at accuracy in the weight room. You throw thousands of passes. He's got the natural talent and the smarts. But he's got to throw, throw throw.

BP company executive said, one of two relief wells being drilled in an attempt to kill BP's runaway oil well below the Gulf of Mexico is within 20 feet horizontally of it, and Kent Wells, BP senior vice president of exploration, explained about the relief well, we reached a depth of 16,770 feet, but engineers plan to drill another 900 feet vertically before cutting in sideways, In the last 200 feet, we will angle the well in directly towards it,

Wells also went on to say, while we feel very good about the progress we've made thus far, we've said from day one, roughly 90 days, we continue to think that.

Wells noted that John Wright, who he called a world expert is in charge of the drilling effort and has been successful in all 40 of his previous efforts to intercept leaking wells.

Wells was asked how many of the 40 wells had been killed, he said I don't have the numbers, he added, the chances of killing the well are higher when the interception point is at the bottom of the well. we can't guarantee anything, but I think the technology is there, we've got the best experienced people around, and we're set up to be successful here. Wells went on to say efforts continue to increase the containment of leaking oil. The next step is to bring in a third rig called the Helix Producer at the well, which would increase the containment by another 20,000 to 25,000 barrels per day,

We had hoped and prayed we would somehow miss this, but it's hit us now, the good news is that for the last five or six weeks, we've been preparing to attack it when it hit our shores, and that's exactly what we've done.

Sunday afternoon Mayor Maxwell had a crew of people on the beach picking up tar balls. The Mayor said, now that we have it on our shores, every day it'll have to be attacked again

Officials said tar balls and globlike "mousse patties" washed ashore in at least four locations, no beaches were closed due to the tar balls
